Houghton celebrates the students who achieved outstanding academic performance in the spring 2024 semester. Through their hard work and faithful perseverance, these 352 scholar-servants earned the distinction of being included on the Dean’s List, Dean’s Honors List, and the President’s List.

Excellence is never accidental. It doesn’t just happen. It takes intention. It requires discipline. It is not for the easily discouraged or faint of heart. You chose to painstakingly pursue excellence—not just once, but continuously. I join with your families, communities, and the Houghton community in celebrating you and your achievement of academic excellence in the Spring 2024 semester. I thank God for you and I pray that you will continue to use your gifts for His glory.

To attain the Dean’s List, full-time students must obtain a grade-point average ranging from 3.50 to 3.74. The Dean’s Honor List recognizes those who achieve a grade point average between 3.75 and 3.99. The highest achievement, the President’s List, is reserved for full-time students who maintain a perfect 4.0 grade point average.

“For over 140 years, Houghton has sought to offer an education that is grounded in the liberal arts and sciences, infused with God’s truth, and relevant for meeting the needs of our rapidly changing world,” said David Davies ’01, provost and dean of faculty. “I congratulate each of these students on this remarkable achievement and look forward to seeing how God will continue to bless and use them in their studies and careers.”
