Caleb has served as Houghton’s Director of Alumni Engagement since July, 2024. As the Director of Alumni Engagement, Caleb’s chief role is to walk alongside alumni as they fulfill their call to be scholar-servants in a changing world, and invite them to let Houghton be a part of that life-long journey. Caleb comes to this role with rich experience in youth and college ministry, as well as several years serving Christian higher education institutions through traditional undergraduate, online, and graduate admissions.

Caleb is passionate about the Christ-centered community that Houghton cultivates. Houghton strives to be a rejoicing community of scholar-servants who gather to worship Christ through prayer and work. Caleb believes that it is a special thing to work for an institution so willing to submit all things before Christ.

Outside of work, Caleb can be found spending time with his wife, Juliana, their son, and their daughter. He is a self-proclaimed “serial hobbyist,” and enjoys reading and writing, playing guitar (and banjo), and fishing.

An academically challenging, Christ-centered liberal arts education is one of the most impactful tools we have to bring about the Kingdom of God here on earth. The experiences students have here are profoundly transformative, and to play a part in ensuring those experiences are affordable and accessible to those who need them is an incredible blessing. Serving the students, employees, alumni and friends of ºÚÁÏ¿Æ is a perfect alignment of the my passions and interests with the skills ad experiences the Lord has provided me.

In May 2025, ºÚÁÏ¿Æ announced a $10.4M lead gift secured by Mr. Sisson to renovate its oldest existing residence hall, Gillette/East Hall. The $11.6M 15-month construction project is completely donor funded. This gift is the first step in a multi-year effort to renew residence halls across campus.

Under the leadership of Mr. Sisson, and in response to the exceptional efforts and commitment of his Advancement team, the ºÚÁÏ¿Æ endowment has grown from $35M to more than $91M. Houghton’s endowment is comprised of 350+ endowed scholarship funds, programmatic funds, chairs/professorships, athletics, undesignated general endowment, and more.

Mr. Sisson provided effective vision and leadership to Houghton’s largest campaign to date – IMPACT: The Campaign for Greater Houghton – which was completed in May 2020. This comprehensive campaign successfully surpassed its $70M goal while enabling donors to invest in three key strategic areas: Access and Affordability; Strategic Campus Enhancement (which included construction of the Equestrian Event Center and renovation of the Paine Center for Science); and Academic and Experiential Investment.
